Kindergarten Art Club
Join Mrs. Slater for Art Club class after school! Kindergarten students will be introduced to the art room & Mrs. Slater, and will create a unique clay project. Students will learn different clay techniques, tools, the kiln, and be able to glaze (paint) their creations. This is a great introduction into lower school art at SAA-SDS. Each session is two classes and students are encouraged to attend both classes to complete their projects. Class sizes are limited. Students may bring a snack with them to eat at the beginning of class.

Kindermusik Music & Movement Class
The study, practice, and discipline of making music gives the brain and body a complete workout. Activities are designed to encourage multi-sensory learning, which employs and integrates several senses at once, stimulating multiple areas of the brain. Little Ballerinas: Angelina Ballerina
Students will learn classical ballet and creative movement in a fun syllabus designed specifically for baby ballerinas. The syllabus features Angelina Ballerina and was designed by Mary Van Dyke, Director of Children’s Ballet Theater. There will be a parent demonstration recital on the final day of class, May 13, the last 15 minutes of class. Class attire: school clothes, pink canvas or leather ballet shoes with thin white bobby socks, and hair in a neat ponytail. Class Attire: Light blue leotard and matching ballet skirt, pink canvas or leather ballet shoes with thin white bobby socks, and hair in a neat ponytail. Chess Instruction & Club
Whether you have never touched a piece or can defeat every challenger, Mid-South Chess welcomes you to join this program that improves all levels of chess play. Each of our instructors has been hand selected for skill, competence, and high moral character, to ensure the students have a positive chess experience. Club members will be divided according to knowledge level. Check out this noble game that Mid-South Chess considers an art, a science and a sport!

Ready to Roll Gymnastics
This is an introduction to gymnastics class developed to inspire 2 year olds. Each class will challenge gross motor skill development, enhance balance, improve coordination and introduce fundamentals of gymnastics. Kids will practice hopping, skipping, and jumping, as well as other gross motor skills through cooperative games & activities. Using hoops, balls, ribbons, shakers, & other fun-filled props, 2 year olds will have fun building coordination while exploring concepts such as high/low, fast/slow, up/down, & over/under. There will be a parent show-off observation on May 15th, for the last 15 minutes of class.

Join us this fall for our Little Champs Gymnastics program! This class is designed to introduce the littlest ones to the sport of gymnastics in a fun, age-appropriate format. Classes will challenge gross motor skill development such as hopping, skipping, and jumping, enhance balance, improve coordination and introduce fundamental of gymnastics. This class will include instruction in balance beam & floor exercise. We will emphasize developing strength, flexibility and coordination through daily games, challenges and activities. Begin here with bars and floor & go anywhere! There will be a parent show-off observation on May 15th, for the last 30 minutes of class. Class attire: Students may wear their uniform shorts/skort and shirt, or may bring other clothing to change into.

Ninja Zone™
Join us this fall for our Ninja Zone athletic training program! Discipline from martial arts, coordination from gymnastics, and strength/agility from obstacle course training inspire this program. They will learn respect for coaches, teachers, parents, and other adults in their lives through learning life lessons that will stay with them forever. They will also learn core skills that will impact their performance in other sports. We teach SAFETY, confidence, and skills that will mold their athletic and fitness future! ECC Creative Arts- Exploring Science through Art!
Science is exciting! Art is fun! This class is a perfect blend of both! Students will learn about key science topics such as conservation, habitats, and animal life while creating art projects that support their learning. Through the integrated instruction of science and arts, student will explore the arts and find the beauty in science.
